Job Summary:
The Regional Director, Corporate Partnerships, is responsible for leading, planning and executing the Region’s corporate fundraising programs.  The Director of Corporate Partnerships is a major frontline fundraiser responsible for corporate philanthropic, cause-related marketing, workplace giving, and in-kind programs, providing chapter and regional leadership to these programs.  This senior level position is a key member of the Development executive/leadership team and is responsible for significant revenue generation.

1. Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, recognizes and stewards corporate prospects and donors. Manages strategic corporate accounts. Identifies and enlists new funders through an entrepreneurial approach to prospect identification and cultivation.

2. Researches, identifies and recommends a range of philanthropic and marketing-related strategies to ensure that the American Red Cross partners with corporations and other external organizations whose brand values are consistent with the organization. 

3. Develops detailed cultivation and solicitation strategies for each corporate prospect/donor within the context of a multi-year strategy targeted to achieve annual fundraising goals. 

4. Ensures effective strategies are utilized to increase income development opportunities with corporations and other organizations. Income opportunities include sponsorships, royalties, strategic alliances, endorsements and special event participation. 

5. Works with internal Lines of Service to design and oversee proposals that fully engage corporate partners in ways that maximize value to both ARCBA and the partner. 

6. Coordinates activities with National Headquarters, other Red Cross regions, and Development colleagues to maximize potential gifts and ensure the "best ask." 

7. Develops appropriate internal reporting mechanisms which demonstrate the value of developed cause-related marketing initiatives to both ARCBA and corporate partners. 

8. Collaborates and coordinates with National Red Cross headquarters staff to ensure local cause-related marketing initiatives are consistent with national guidelines and standards and, where appropriate, have the ability to develop into national initiatives to provide broader benefit to the organization at-large. 
9. Directs, leads, manages and coaches the regional corporate development team to individual and team success.  Cultivates a high-performance team committed to meeting individual and overall unit objectives through effective goal setting, mentoring and coaching, ongoing assessment, and targeted and effective training for staff and volunteer leadership on corporate relationship management and achievement of goals and targets.

10. Develops, monitors and is responsible for achieving annual revenue budget for Corporate programs and revenue. Ensures tracking and reporting processes are in place to effectively monitor periodic (i.e. monthly/quarterly) progress against goals and to identify corrective actions to address variances in performance against goals.

11. Oversees Corporate Development team’s work with Development Operations/Donor Services team to: 1) Create strategies that maximize the use of institutional donor data; 2) Create reporting mechanisms that accurately track activities and measure progress against goals; and, 3) Ensure the integrity of current data on corporations, their parent companies and subsidiaries and their internal contacts with the donor database. 

12. Assists the Chief Development Officer in recruiting, leading and developing the Development Department’s leadership volunteer corps and ensures effective use of resources and talents. With the Chief Development Officer, engages and develops leadership advisory councils and committees in philanthropy and fundraising for the Red Cross.

13. Participates in the development and implementation of a Disaster Fundraising Action Plan (DFRAP) related to garnering the support of corporations following significant disasters.

14. Serves as a senior member of the Development Department and works with other development staff and across the region to develop a cohesive, coherent fund-raising program for the Chapter and the region, leading by example.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is highly desirable.
Minimum 7 years of major gifts leadership experience. Proactive development leader with an established track record of increasing philanthropic revenue from diverse constituencies
Experience in the development and implementation of a broad-based fundraising program including personally opening doors, cultivation and successfully closing major gifts. Corporate and/or Business-to-Business sales leadership experience may be substituted for fundraising experience. Significant expertise with the area’s funding community highly desirable. Progressive experience in successful development programs and knowledge of “best practices” in development.
Management Experience: 
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities: 
Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent verbal and written skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS-Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, A team player committed to developing and working within a collaborative environment and to ensuring the highest customer service orientation.
Requires frequent travel within the North Texas Region.
Work Conditions:
Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.
