Description: The Executive Director JPS Foundation has primary responsibility for leading and managing all dimensions of annual, capital, planned giving and fundraising programs. The Executive Director is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic fundraising vision that will guide the organization to meet ambitious revenue goals. The Executive Director also provides support to the broader fundraising program by making sure that donor and prospect information is properly recorded and managed. Typical Duties:
  1. Oversees and implements the strategic planning process and the design and implementation of development programs needed to support fundraising activities.
  2. Collaborates with the JPS Foundation Board Members, Executive team, JPS Board of Managers, physicians, team members and volunteers to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects and secure new sources of annual funds.
  3. Assists with all fundraising activities including capital and major gifts, cultivation of prospects, coordinating all donor recognition and stewardship as well as other initiatives to increase philanthropic support.
  4. Follows protocols established by the bylaws and ensures restricted funds are used in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and donor stipulations.
  5. Performs operational tasks to include: preparing the annual budget and periodic reports, and coordinating assignments and office activities.
  6. Directs the hiring, orienting, training, coaching and counseling JPS Foundation team members. Participates in Leadership Development activities; implement strategies and processes to improve employee engagement and performance.
  7. Promotes departmental and organizational activities for providing courteous customer service to patients, families, visitors and external customers.
  8. Responsible for the policies, quality, standards and operations of the foundation and the fund development activities on behalf of JPS.
  9. Maintains physical properties of the Foundation in a good state of repair and good operating condition.
  10. Attends and represents JPS Foundation at community and Foundation functions.
  11. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field of study from an accredited University.
  • 7 plus years in leadership roles with experience in philanthropic activities including fundraising and coordination of volunteers.
  • 3 plus years of experience working in fund development in a health care related setting.
