Administers and maintains employee files and records, and/or programs based on area of assignment.
• Initiates, maintains, and updates employee files and other relevant information in HR systems 
• Compiles, analyzes, and generates customized reports for administrative and external sources
• Serves as liaison and information resource for faculty and staff, consults with others on problems, and determines final resolution of problems and issues
• Implements, tracks, and maintains database(s) of various employee information
• Processes documents on new, current, and former employees in HR systems 
• Advises, counsels, and answers inquiries regarding human resource issues in area of responsibility
• Conducts training sessions regarding HR procedures, policies, and processes
• Composes and edits correspondence and develops departmental forms
• Troubleshoots by identifying the problem, uses all available resources to develop a solution and follows through with the issue until it’s conclusion in a timely manner
• May provide backup to other human resource areas
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite 
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
Assignment Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
Benefits and Compensation 
• Conducts new employee benefits orientation sessions 
• Coordinates and monitors leave programs including FMLA, short-term disability, military and personal leaves of absence
• Processes stipends and leave requests in Colleague
Employee Relations 
• Investigates and responds to worker’s compensation claims; serves as liaison to worker’s compensation case managers
• Assist with management of employee relations files
• May represent the college at unemployment hearings and appeals, investigate and respond to unemployment claims
Professional Development
• Assists with coordination of training schedules for targeted employees, course evaluations, and maintenance of all employee training records and materials 
• Manages day-to-day LMS integration activities while maintaining high data integrity
• Assists with course creation and scheduling of courses in the LMS, including securing instructors and coordinating instructor schedules
• Generate and manage standard and custom/ad-hoc reports
• Identifies, and resourcefully troubleshoots and resolves LMS user questions and issues
• Provides training/user support on the LMS
• Identifies appropriate suggestions and/or champions standard practices and process improvement opportunities
• Develops, posts and advertises position vacancies
• Screens employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, and other qualifications of applicants as needed
• Develops, udpates and monitors recruitment metrics
• Represents TCC at job fairs and career events
