Senior Database Administrator

We have an IT shop that continues to be a reference model for local and international airports.
Position Summary
Under general direction of the Sr. IT Systems Engineering Manager, you will be primarily responsible for administration, management and maintenance of enterprise servers, storage and database systems at the DFW Airport Board. You will perform installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, back-up and recovery. Maintain and update standard operating procedures and documentation.  Be responsible for providing critical production support on a periodic basis.
Performance Objectives
Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operating systems and databases and their management tools.
Monitor system health.
Verifying system resources are available.
Monitor logs, and verify that jobs have completed.
Champion Security for airport’s databases.
Recommend and advise on topics of capacity planning.
Help team with operation and maintenance of systems.
Administer enterprise storage on managed infrastructure.
Development and test disaster recovery plans.
Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Certification
Experience with processes and procedures that use the ITL framework
Experience with implementing CIS Security Benchmarks
Experience in Unix and Linux operating systems
Experience with all storage protocols (SAN, NAS)
Experience in utilizing Oracle data base tools and products.
Experience in utilizing Microsoft SQL Server data base tools and products.
Experience with Microsoft Servers and client server software applications.
Experience with various Web servers.
Experience with PL/SQL and TSQL database scripting.
Certifications in latest versions of operating and database system.
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s degree in computer science, business, mathematics or a related field.
Six years of experience with enterprise-class database servers - with emphasis on Oracle and SQL Server.
Six years of experience with classic system administration.
Possession of a valid Class C driver's license
