Description: The SVP, Network Operations reports and is accountable to the Sr EVP, Chief Operating Officer of the Network. Responsibility for the following Network-wide Professional Services and/or Network Support Services: Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory Services, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Biomedical Engineering, Facility Management & Plant Operations, EVS/Textile Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Patient Transportation and Public Safety and Parking Services. Demonstrate exceptional ability to direct and manage a diverse range of operational details and complexities in support of those Divisions that provide and deliver direct patient care: Acute Care, Community Health and Behavioral Health. This individual must have a passion for service and a demonstrated ability to provide consistent and reliable support/outcomes with superior value. Typical Duties:
Develops functional and strategic objectives, implements, plans and monitors progress, and revises plans as necessary, relative to areas of responsibility.

Provides the Sr EVP, Chief Operating Officer with written, ongoing progress reports for key initiatives.
Directs and supports selection of personnel in assigned areas. Conducts ongoing assessments and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development of staff to include a workforce “staffing” plan for the division.
Develops and implements monitoring processes to ensure that each department’s performance is consistent with the organization’s metrics-based management performance system. Ensures that strategies and processes exist to maximize financial resource management, including development and achievement of financial performance objectives. Prepares and monitors annual budget to ensure appropriate performance against objectives.
Participates in learning opportunities and continuing education programs to expand knowledge of professional discipline. Participates in health-related associations to maintain expertise and promote innovation and improvement for assigned areas.
Collaborates with direct reports in the development of department-by-department business plans, tied to the organization’s overall strategy, that include benchmarks for quality new business or service development.
Provides regular meetings and other forms of communication with reporting personnel and other affected staff members to assure awareness of operational and organization-wide issues.
Ensures, through community and professional contacts, that the organization has a positive image and high visibility as a provider of excellent, value based care.
Anticipates opportunities for new programs or services in the organization’s annual strategic review/budget process.
Develops new services or programs for the Network. Produces superior value based quality proposals with tested financial objectives. Develops and maintains collegial and effective working relationships with colleagues.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
