This job is a member of the Workers Compensation Team within the People/HR Division. This position will be responsible for providing oversight of the financial reporting for the Workers Compensation program, including SOX controls, insurance renewal and collateral opportunities. This job is also responsible for Workers Compensation Analytics including analysis of workers compensation claims data including multiple claim dashboards, external actuarial valuations plus oversight of the monthly analysis of internal injury reporting.
 
Specifically you’ll do the following:
  • Acts as a project leader and management of resources with the goal of developing tools and resources for use by the Workers Compensation team
  • Assists Risk Management leadership with analysis of renewals, collateral analysis, reports, projects and deliverables
  • Establishes optimal risk financing terms and pricing for workers' compensation coverage
  • Assists in designing and implementing all workers' compensation policies and programs
  • Serves as Key contact for Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) reporting and requirements
  • Recognizes areas for improvement of processes and implement solutions for the Workers Compensation team
  • Leads Workers Compensation data integration with TPAs, data partners and vendors
  • Assists in departmental Workers Compensation related projects and tasks from a technical perspective
  • Develops and maintains personal relationships with RMIS, broker, carriers, and other vendors
  • Provides training, education, mentoring, and coaching for the Workers’ Compensation team
  • Leads the development of company specific key performance indicator metric processing, benchmarking studies for all lines of coverage
  • Provides continuous improvement of existing reports/dashboards/tools
  • Performs duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon department growth and evolving operation
 
 
 
Qualifications
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 plus years' experience in Risk Management, insurance claims trending/analysis, examination, investigation, adjudication or advocacy
  • Strong team player with ability to work successfully at all levels of the organization and influence positive outcomes
  • Ability to lead tasks and manage processes
  • Strong personal skills and relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group
  • Strong personal computer skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel/PowerPoint/Access as well as business intelligence software packages
  • Strong familiarity with insurance carrier and TPA systems
  • Knowledge of terms, codes, procedures and processes involving insurance
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
