JCPenney is looking for a Senior Social Media Specialist experienced in paid campaign planning and execution to join our Brand Social Media team. This multifaceted position will focus on reaching and engaging consumers in the brand experience across existing and emerging social media channels through strategic, creative and tactical duties. The ideal candidate is precise, digitally savvy and passionate about nurturing, improving and growing JCPenney’s social media footprint.
  • Collaborate with internal divisional leads and external media agency to plan and execute evergreen and seasonal paid social campaigns.
  • Partner with content and analytics teams to develop actionable strategies to support awareness, reach, traffic and revenue.
  • Ensure visibility of campaign plans to various stakeholders.
  • Support Social Media Manager with budget tracking, invoicing and media allocation.
  • Provide detailed asset requests to internal creative, influencer and content partners.
  • Maintain a high-touch relationship with agencies to inform and learn from their approach while overseeing progress and performance.
  • QA live paid social ads.
  • Act as main point of contact for some vendor and partner relationships.
  • Assist with reporting and special project needs on an ad hoc basis.
Core Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in paid social or digital marketing. Agency background preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of social platforms, audiences, paid tactics and digital trends.
  • Comfortable navigating strategic, creative and analytical responsibilities.
  • Comprehends both direct and brand marketing principles and strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Independent yet communicative and team-oriented.
  • Familiarity with the following applications is a plus: Opal, Curalate, Sprinklr, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Smartsheet.
