Sr. Manager, Benefits Delivery

This job is a member of the Benefits Delivery Team within the People/HR Division. Responsible for the performance of outsourced benefits delivery comprised of contact centers, compliance and all other benefits administration functions.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
  • Maintains and builds key relationships with all internal stakeholders with an interest in the administration of AA benefits
  • Monitors vendor compliance with contractual obligations and Service Level Agreements, including HIPAA and privacy compliance
  • Builds relationships with union and internal labor leadership and resolves complicated day to day and contractually related benefits issues
  • Develops and reviews benefit communications and presentations
  • Leads high visibility projects and initiatives with tight timelines and complex requirements
  • Represents the benefits organization in cross-departmental projects
  • Ensures appropriate operational functions associated with benefits including HRIS, payroll and reporting functions
  • Spearheads performance improvement initiatives, both internal and external, in partnership with vendors to enhance the overall employee experience
  • Negotiates third party contracts and responsible for change order management
  • Leads a team of professionals responsible for executing on the above noted objectives
 
 
 
Qualifications
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 2 years managing large team member facing vendors
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Advanced knowledge of benefits delivery trends, regulations and best practices
  • Experience with Payroll and/or HRIS implementations
  • SPHR, PHR and/or CEBS certification
  • Ability to foster and maintain working relationships with cross functional teams, unions and vendors
  • Ability to lead and develop highly effective teams
  • Ability to enhance team member processes and procedures through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to be proactive and able to work with limited direction to prioritize tasks under narrow time limitations, and appropriately communicate changes and progress
  • Ability to effectively handle resistance
  • Ability to think critically
  • Team player who is calm and effective while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Driven to achieve excellence: holds high standard of quality for self and others, strong goal orientation
  • Proven track record handling and maintaining highly confidential information
