Summary: The Manager, Business Intelligence ensures the streamlined operation of the IT Business Intelligence group in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.  Develop and implement data warehouse strategies, along with the Database Administration and Development and Decision Support groups that enhance business processes and decisions.  The Manager is responsible for the daily operation and staff management of the Business Intelligence team in support of the Health Care System.
Key management responsibilities are: coordinate with business users to translate business requirements into BI reports and dashboards; assist with the design and development of new databases; design, development, test and implementation of data warehouse systems for BI reporting and analysis; create functions and procedures for BI reporting needs; data governance; and maintain and support BI applications and tools.  The Manager will support, promote and drive implementation of best practices in the areas of business intelligence. The Manager demonstrates strong leadership skills. The Manager will work with the Director to lead and promote efforts within the department to help standardize work processes and understand departmental capacity, and promote innovation in all aspects of the team's work. The Manager will also ensure that all BI systems, reports, and dashboards enhance and safeguard proprietary patient, family, and employee confidentiality, data integrity, security, and availability to appropriate staff.

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, engineering, or information systems required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years related work experience, preferred.
  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience in a Health Care environment, preferred.
  • Two to five (2-5) years of management experience preferred. 
  • Epic Cogito Project Manager certification preferred
  • Epic Reporting Workbench and Radar certifications preferred
  • Experience or certification in Epic PB and HB data models preferred
  • Experience with financial and revenue cycle reporting and data analysis preferred
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification and methodology development.
  • Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software, hardware, and database solutions, systems, or products; data warehouse, interfaces, and business intelligence solution experience desired.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
