The University of North Texas System (UNTS) has a great opportunity for an experienced Director of HRIS to join our HR team located in Fort Worth. Our vision is to provide the best approach to deliver HR services to our constituents in the most effective and efficient manner to help drive business outcomes. We are currently seeking a Director of HRIS for our HR Shared Services Human Resources. This new team member will contribute to our goal to be the strategic partner needed by our constituents while providing outstanding programs and services. This position will serve the UNT System Administration, UNT Dallas and HSC.

This is a professional administrative position providing leadership and management in the effective administration of Human Resources Information Systems and employees records to achieve System and constituent institutional goals and objectives. In partnership with other leadership roles in the Human Resources Department, this role will be responsible for identification, and implementation of HRIS and related systems. This position reports to the Chief Human Capital Officer. An employee in this class provides supervision over professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff as assigned.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: 

* Lead the team to continuous improvement in quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction by embedding the Toyota Production System (TPS) methodology in day to day business processes. 
* Lead the team to ensure HR data derived from a diverse array of sources that is housed within EIS/HRPD will be effortlessly reliable, accessible, and adaptable to support external and internal reporting requirements as well as impactful organizational decision making through enhanced analytical approaches. 
* Build, lead, develop, and motivate a high performing, multi-cultural team of HR Business Analysts, HR Reporting Analysts and HR Records Manager, reinforcing the organization's core values and expectations through exemplary behavior, communication, and coaching practices. 
* Coordinates scheduled project meetings with internal team members to ensure all outstanding questions, issues, and tasks have been properly communicated and addressed in a timely manner. 
* Coach and mentor team responsible for developing and enhancing strong partnerships/collaboration with business process owners and stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Payroll, Budget, Campus Data Analytics, Legal, ITSS etc.) to gather information and translate that into a business process/system functionality that both aligns with the needs of the business and keeps the end user experience in mind. 
* Manages and oversees the HRIS and Records teams and acts as an internal consultant to the business by gathering, organizing and verifying concerns, outlining proposed solutions, and articulating the business ramifications in both the current and planned EIS/HCM environment. 
* Assist with planning and developing HR technology roadmap and effectively implement technology strategy to accomplish the System HR vision by moving the HR organization from its current to future state of technology, business process and system optimization. 
* Monitors budget for development, implementation and maintenance of HRIS & Records systems. 
* Manages and influences vendor selection process, where applicable. 
* Counsels and consults with senior management and HR leaders regarding HRIS & Records matters, influencing outcomes that are based on professional advice consistent with System and institutional policies. 
* Based on feedback and industry best practices, develops, implements, and modifies system requirements to provide Human Resources and the campuses with human capital metrics and tools. 
* Maintains the HRIS and Records systems, processes, and procedures to ensure data integrity across platforms. 
* Develop strong and collaborative partnerships with Payroll, ITSS, and the data analytics teams on the campuses. 
* Serves as business lead for system upgrades, ensures customizations work, and ensures proper testing prior to installation. 
* Highly flexible, ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in order to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization. 
* Strong collaboration and negotiation with all stakeholders including sponsors, technologists and business customers. 
* Oversees the documentation of standard operating procedures for HRIS & Records functions 
* Manages all aspects of the planning, project management, change management, administration, security, maintenance, data integrity, testing, implementation, reporting and user support for the HRIS. 
* Ensures accuracy and completeness of employees' data that is entered and stored in the EIS, either through delivered forms/pages or home grown applications such as EPAR. 
* Ensures technical issues or incidents are formally logged with ITSS in the Service Now ticketing system and solution to such issues are timely implemented in EIS.
