Consulting Security Engineer II

The primary activities and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
·         Provide SAP Security architecture design, build and project management for the SAP Security team with heavy emphasis on SAP Solutions, infrastructure, databases, and tools
·         Lead technical discussions and propose best practice approaches in SAP Security
·         Lead small, medium and large-scaled SAP Security projects, spanning multiple technology platforms and functional areas
·         Define, coordinate and assign activities for system configurators and developers
·         Provide guidance to functional team members in the design of secure solutions
·         Provide support for continuous monitoring and analysis of SAP systems to identify vulnerabilities
·         Provide security design for solutions interfacing with the BNSF network
·         Provide support for detailed performance metrics and reporting for key SAP Security activities
·         Execute reviews of and implement SAP Security Notes, working with SAP Security and Basis administrators
·         Provide support for on-going controls and audit activities including SAP Security system monitoring
·         Communicate and coordinate with business and technology leadership to ensure that solutions have an effective security posture
·         Assess risks, and effectively manage and communicate them to the manager in a timely manner
·         This position reports to the SAP Security Manager
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have the SAP specific qualifications to be considered for the position:
·         Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or greater than 5 years business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
·         Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security development, design, and Basis administration 
·         Minimum of 5 years leading SAP Security and Basis implementations
·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP SOD analysis, compliance, audit, and/or Sarbanes-Oxley
·         Minimum of 5 years of experience leading people or projects using a formal application delivery or project management methodology
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
·         Experience with hands-on configuration and implementation of security for SAP Java, HANA, ECC, BW, GRC, and Success Factors
·         Experience working in a regulated environment with highly confidential and/or sensitive information (e.g., HIPAA, PII, GLB, etc.)
·         Cross-functional knowledge in two or more of the following: Finance, HCM, Plant Maintenance, Learning Management, Supply Chain, Payroll/Benefits
·         ABAP programming a plus
·         Working knowledge of HANA S/4 a plus
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Complex problem solving skills in a production support environment
·         Working experience with 3rd party vendor solutions
·         Strong understanding of project management and change control practices
