The City of Fort Worth Water Department has an Environmental Supervisor job available in our Pretreatment Services of our Customer Care Division. 
Environmental Supervisor job duties include:
  • Participate in plan review and survey of all industrial and commercial facility operations.
  • Participate and assist in permitting, monitoring, inspecting, investigating and enforcing the liquid waste haulers operations within the city limits and food service establishments that discharge to the City of Fort Worth collection system.
  • Oversee staff that conducts the plan review, survey, permits, monitor, inspect, enforce and investigate customers to determine their environmental impact and compliance with applicable regulations within assigned programs and services.
  • Provide assistance to the Environmental Program Manager.
 
Minimum requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related field.
  • At least one year of administrative and/or lead supervisory/project experience.
  • At least four years of responsible experience in the investigation, inspection, and enforcement of environmental quality rules and regulations.
 
Preferred experience:
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in a customer service/customer experience environment, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Experience in the Supervision or management of a problem resolution, and coupled with demonstrated experience in process improvement, project management and quality assurance.
  • Experience in plan review for performing a variety of technical duties in reviewing, approving and processing building applications to determine permitting requirements and the need to install treatment devices for waste water treatment at a facility.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access computer software skills
  • Administration and oversight experience of a Pretreatment/Environmental program
