Salary Range: $62,700 - $83,600
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, write and launch various employee benefits communications and campaigns including emails, postcards, presentations, website content and enrollment guides.
  • Act as vendor manager to external communication partners to ensure maximum value and contract compliance.  Direct the development of communication strategies, SOWs, work plans and materials.
Coordinate internal cross-functional review teams to ensure final product is accurate, aligns with overall health, wellness and corporate communications strategies, is consistent with the brand
and is completed on a timely basis.
  • Monitor Federal legislation and law changes affecting benefit plans. Keep abreast of compliance rules applicable to all employee benefit plans. Recommend plan design changes as necessary.
  • Conduct research of various issues, consult with legal counsel and provide advice/ solutions as necessary.
  • Update and distribute mandatory plan communications including SPDs, SMMs and SBCs on a timely basis.
  • Monitor compliance of business processes to plan documents and procedures.
  • Assist the Director Medical Benefits in the benchmarking, design and implementation of healthcare plan design changes and new vendors.
  • A Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in the Human Resources field
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate problems and recommend solutions
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and maintain positive relationships with team members
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Employee benefits or benefits communication experience 
  • Experience in creating employee communication materials
  • Working knowledge of employee benefit laws and regulations governing health, insurance and qualified/ non-qualified retirement plans.
