HR Consultant - Strategic Projects

As an HR Project Consultant for JCPenney, you will use your knowledge of and experience with HR strategy, capability, and service delivery to optimize business results and customer experience. You will work closely with cross functional teams to deliver project results and lead workstreams that contribute to the overall project success. Maintain a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate. Improve HR quality and customer satisfaction by planning, overseeing the execution of, and reporting on all strategic projects that are occurring within HR. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including HRBP’s, Recruiting, and other key Business Leaders to execute projects that lead to continuous improvement.
  • Establish organizational dashboards to assess performance of strategic projects.
  • Manage portfolio of strategic projects.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs/ processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support strategic work on complex projects that involve the coordination of multiple resources.
  • Maintain an enterprise HR perspective while supporting HR business projects.
  • Leverage analytics, dashboards, reporting tools to identify trends and apply best practices to business matters.
  • Provide strategic ideas and input to assist the HR division in developing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Project focus areas may include: succession planning, career planning, and organization structure/design

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to take direction and feedback to make improvements
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Visio and Excel
 
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
