The Marketing and Communications Product Manager is responsible for delivering best-in-class dealer experiences for GM Financial. Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Product Manager, this team member will develop and execute product related communication strategies, sales tools and marketing collateral, process improvement initiatives and general marketing support. The ideal candidate has expertise in developing and executing strategic plans that align to the company’s vision and goals.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES:
  • Understand, communicate and commit to the organization's vision, goals and strategies and translate them into product action plans.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders in an effort to clearly understand and support the business needs and priorities
  • Analyze complex issues, apply financial analysis, and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions that balance long- and short-term business goals and objectives.
  • Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development.
  • Foster open communication that welcomes information sharing, seeking input from others and valuing diverse viewpoints.
  • Act as primary point of contact and coordinate interaction with all company stakeholders including our business partners, legal and compliance to define and deliver the best experiences for our dealers.
  • Partner with creative teams to define and deliver marketing projects.
  • Act as an advocate for originations related initiatives defining, creating, and delivering world-class experiences.
  • Interface with analytics team preparing analysis to drive direction and performance optimization.
  • Oversee development, approval, distribution and communication strategies for marketing collateral and tools.
  • Identify and introduce process improvements to maximize the efficiency of marketing department and business stakeholder experience.
  • Perform competitive research and analysis as needed.
  • Interface with business partners to create cohesive experience across all GM brands and GMF channels.
  • Manage the creation of print collateral support dealer sales team; emails, flyers, sales aids, posters, etc.
  • Manage the process for the creation of dealer sales event support; invitations, themes, templates, presentations, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with brand messaging, process improvement, and campaign execution

Skills
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
 
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing consumer-facing products in a B2B environment required.
  • Experience in the automotive or finance industries a plus.
