Position Overview
 
Reporting to the Senior Talent and Organizational Development Manager, the Learning and Development Coordinator will support in the delivery of employee training programs.   
 
This position requires a strong ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, differentiate among competing demands and work under time pressure to meet deadlines.  Working independently and as a member of a team, you will assist with in analyzing training surveys, in creating PowerPoint presentations and assisting with other special projects as assigned.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn a learning management system and be able to schedule and record class attendance.
 
What you will be doing:
  • Assess the effectiveness of delivered training programs and determine what additional training might be necessary in the future.
  • Schedule, design and facilitate training classes as well as create training manuals and materials to enhance the learner’s experience.
  • Presents information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercise, group discussions, videos and lectures.
  • Stay abreast of new trends and tools in employee development.
  • Maintain working relationships with educational partners, associations, consultants, and end-user customers.
  • Works closely with manager on Talent and Organizational Development initiatives such as talent review/succession planning, performance management training, org design efforts, library or catalog of leadership training external offerings.
  • Assist in the maintenance of training records, CEU credits and e-Learning records to assure record keeping and reporting standards are accurate, and in compliance with the Board and IACET requirements.
  • Coordinates and delivers Airport-wide instructor-led learning events.
  • Research, develop and implement new training strategies.
  • Consult with HR leaders about ways to improve employee training.
What we require of you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, human resources, business administration or a related field.
  • Recent, relevant experience as a training specialist in a corporate environment.
  • Three (3) years of professional-level experience in designing, implementing and delivering training and developing programs.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience to equal one (1) year of work experience for one (1) year of education may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
What we desire of you:
  • Ability to align strategic and operational needs with training programs and organizational effectiveness efforts.
  • Five (5) years demonstrated application of progressive work experience in a corporate setting including proven professional communications, presentation, influence and facilitation skills.
  • Certifications in one or more of the following:
    • Development Dimensions International (DDI) Certification
    • Personalysis Assessment
    • Franklin Covey development solutions Certification
    • InsideOut Certification
