As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and administering assigned segments of the Board's Disadvantaged/Small /Minority/Women Business Enterprise (D/S/MWBE) Program in the realm of airport Concessions, and performs special projects as assigned. 
What you will be doing:
  • Research, implement, administer, and evaluate prime and subcontracting opportunities on Airport projects.
  • Reviews concession solicitations and specifications and determines joint venture and subcontracting opportunities.
  • Resolves problems encountered during daily operations and determines standards for problem resolution.
  • Assists in the annual goal setting process and in the contract-specific goal setting analysis for individual projects including concessions.
  • Attends pre-bid, pre-proposal, pre-construction, Notice-to-Proceed or project initiation meetings to explain program requirements, respond to questions, and conducts site visits.
  • Prepares, analyzes, researches and compiles statistical data used in the presentation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc departmental reports to the Board of Directors, senior staff members and other outside entities.
  • Researches and assists in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures and other federal programs as warranted.
  • Assists in coordinating outreach efforts and disseminating information on available business opportunities; and technical assistance programs.
  • Conducts research on existing, new and pending legislation affecting the Board's AC/D/M/WBE Program; recommends changes to ensure overall compliance.
 
What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field, supplier diversity, construction, engineering, architecture or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in project management or contract compliance.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
