The Water Department’s Business Services Division has an IT Technical Support Analyst I – Maximo job available in the Water IT Section.  Working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform duties associated with the daily maintenance and support activities required by our Maximo Asset Management application and related systems.  This position will require you to work in the office environment with no option for remote work.
 IT Technical Support Analyst I – Maximo job duties include:
  • Provide the first level of functional support to users with Maximo 7.6 application and related systems issues through in-person and remote support utilizing phone, email and remote tools. Escalate technical issues to the systems administrator as needed.
  • Assist with user security administration for access to Maximo and related systems.
  • Monitor system and application performance. Work with cloud service provider and IBM technical support to report and resolve issues.
  • Assist with application configuration, system planning, testing and implementation of new releases and patches.
  • Provide user training on new functionality and process changes. Assist with the development of training materials.
  • Create and maintain system set up, user security and configuration documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide QBR and data query support to users. Assist with the development of same.
  • Provide responsible support to senior management and supervisory staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum job requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field with no prior experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Work regular work schedule, Monday through Friday and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays without advanced notice as needed.
  • Participate in a 24 x 7 on call rotation schedule.
Preferred job qualifications include:  
  • Two years hands-on experience supporting Utility Work Management systems, specifically IBM Maximo.
  • Knowledge of XML and experience with SQL queries and Maximo QBR reports.
  • Ability to set up and conduct training classes or one on one training with users.
  • Two years of experience in a water utility IT work environment.
