Position Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant will support the Chief Human Resources Officer within the Human Resources department. The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative work assisting in the areas of recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, event planning and coordination, and additional tasks as assigned. The Human Resources Assistant can expect to be challenged in a fast-paced work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform general office duties such as faxing, filing, scanning, ordering supplies, meeting minutes, etc
  • Participate in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment
  • Assist with employee relations and personnel matters
  • Organize and maintain all human resources department records, personnel files
  • May conduct quarterly audits of records within the human resources department
  • Coordinate and provide support for employee events, meetings, trainings, and staff activities
  • Assist in tasks in the area of full recruitment cycle (pre-screening, correspondence, reference checks, employment inquiries, application management, orientation)
  • Coordinate the on-boarding process for new hires and the exit process for terminated/resigning employees
  • Assist in monitoring the performance appraisal process
  • Generate various reports related to payroll, benefits, turnover, etc.
  • Helps maintain company organization charts and the employee directory
  • Provide excellent customer service to all employees, guests and visitors
  • Perform general office duties such as faxing, filing, scanning, ordering supplies, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US (No Sponsorship provided)
  • Some related college course work or job experience in a human resources-related area preferred
  • General understanding of the HR body of knowledge
  • Must have strong administrative skills (faxing, filing, scanning, drafting documents, setting-up meetings, etc.)
  • High level of proficiency in (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Adobe)
  • Working knowledge of human resources information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS), Paycom preferred
  • Must have excellent research and presentation skills
  • Manage multiple tasks with minimal amount of supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone and through written correspondence
  • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, integrity and ethics
  • Must be self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
