Description: The Director of Behavioral Health Quality and Projects assists Behavioral Health leaders with defining and developing key performance indicators to support various program and project efforts (such as DSRIP) and continuous quality improvement. This position will also partner with JPS Health Network’s EMR team to lead initiatives to enhance and develop EPIC functionalities for Behavioral Health. The Director of Behavioral Health Quality and Projects will have direct leadership over Behavioral Health’s Business Operations Manager and Peer Support Supervisor. This position will also manage projects involving cross-functional teams and resources. Typical Duties:
  1. Develops direct reports by defining roles/responsibilities and expectations, assigning and communicating performance and promoting professional growth and accountability. Assists team in communicating and aligning work priorities with the organizational vision, mission, values, and service standards.
  2. Supports staff through mentoring and acting as a resource by providing data, feedback, and recommendations regarding operation, review, and adherence to DSRIP program efforts, quality and special projects.
  3. Ensures the quality of services through the development and documentation of a clinical quality monitoring system and/or program evaluation reflected through key indicators.
  4. Assumes a leadership role in clinical quality improvement activities within Behavioral Health at JPS Health Network.
  5. Develops and coordinates all abstraction activities related to quality management activities. This includes day-to-day responsibilities including quality of data input, budget, reporting and technical requirements.
  6. Promotes all DSRIP program initiatives and collaborates with Behavioral Health leadership to develop performance measurements to support continuous quality improvement. Responsible for DSRIP program monitoring and reporting and the overall performance of all related projects as assigned. Collects and submits clinical and financial DSRIP information and other related data as requested.
  7. Partners with the quality division, information technology, finance and clinical areas to support DSRIP project design, implementation, documentation, education and evaluation.
  8. Utilizes leadership and project management skills to develop effective communication plans with stakeholders.
  9. Guides project teams regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  10. Manages programs and projects involving cross-functional teams and resources.
  11. Develops and implements special projects as assigned.
  12. Partners with JPS Health Network’s EMR team to develop and enhance EPIC functionalities to better support Behavioral Health initiatives.
  13. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
