Sr. Project Manager - Digital Communication

We’re looking for a self-starter and problem solver to help drive American’s global communications strategy across multiple digital channels and high-visibility programs. We’re leading the industry in transforming the way a company connects with team members and customers, and we want you to help us take it to the next level.
In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across American Airlines to help guide projects from start to finish. If you’re an experienced project manager with a strong desire to push the limits and help teams elevate the way they communicate, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert and able to communicate effectively to build strong relationships across both technical and non-technical teams
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Digital Communications team to ensure smooth and seamless project delivery
  • Manage the creation, administration, design and delivery of groups on company intranet
  • Lead content and design efforts related to the American Airlines Retiree site.  Update active team member access permissions on an ad hoc basis.   
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to define business and systems requirements
  • Develop change processes associated with project launches and ongoing support
  • Manage key vendor relationships and serve as a point of contact for ongoing support and enhancements (negotiations, encryption initiatives, outages, updates etc.)
  • Participate in user experience testing and focus groups and provide usable insights which advocate for the end user
  • Act as a moderator and community manager for American’s internal social collaboration intranet
 
 
 
Qualifications
 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a program/project management capacity
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of digital platforms and projects
  • Collaborative, self-starter with a desire to initiate and drive projects to completion
  • Open, collaborative and proven team player with an ability to communicate results and insights to cross-functional partners
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improving existing processes
  • Highly organized individual who can deliver results with minimal direction
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
