As the Senior Innovation Implementation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role within a newly launched transformational division of DFW International Airport. This role works closely with the Vice President of Innovation and leads the testing and implementation of innovation opportunities, along with transitioning successful solutions that create competitive advantage and transform travel.  As part of the “back end” innovation function, you will oversee insuring the effective and efficient assessment of emerging technologies and their business relevance to develop ground breaking opportunities that solve internal business problems and drive market growth.
What you will be doing:
  • Develops and executes implementation plans and success metrics for prototypes and pilots and hand off points to the business units to bring new business models, services, and products to market. Defines and secures the necessary external partnerships to advance concepts through the innovation process.
  • Applies appropriate tools and defined methodologies to test and pilot innovative solutions that enable the business to meet customer needs, maintain or grow market share, and potentially transform the travel industry.
  • Completes due diligence and defines goals, objectives, needs and gaps to test and launch new products, services or business models by working cross functionally with required business partners. 
  • Coordinates larger and more complex project activities with other business areas. Includes identify appropriate stakeholders (i.e. Procurement, IT, Legal, Marketing) and coordinating responsibilities across cross functional teams.
  • Manages all projects to completion including project schedule, budget, work plan, success metrics, risks and constraints, and appropriate status reporting. Assures project activities are delivered in scope, on time and in budget.
  • Creates business requirements, vendor assessments, specifications, prototype design requirements, and quality assurance measures as appropriate for initiatives.
What you need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in project management, innovation or product development function.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above on a year-for-year basis.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects within a highly regulated, corporate environment and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Skilled in relationship management to coordinate, manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders – strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves to get the job done, not easily dissuaded by obstacles or challenges, able to find alternative solutions to resolve problems, forward thinking, and positive.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and able to work in dynamic, collaborative and open environment.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and experience working to define solutions and maximize business opportunity – must be flexible in approach to solving problems.
