Director of Facilities and Physical Security

Oversees the management of facilities and physical security for Mouser’s headquarters campus, to ensure a safe, compliant, energy efficient and pleasant working environment for all Mouser employees and visitors.
•             Develops and directs a productive facilities and physical security team by hiring qualified personnel, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher and higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning.
•             Interacts with all levels of company management, identifies facility, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety, and security project requirements, and plans/executes each project in order to ensure that each project is managed in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
•             Manages all facilities and physical security services including architectural design, construction management, furniture design, selection, and installation, space planning, departmental renovations/relocations, equipment analysis, maintenance services, janitorial services, landscape services, maintenance services, electrical and lighting systems, food and vending services, and physical security systems and services.
•             Manages other facilities related projects to include selection of utility providers, negotiating utility rates and analyzing/approving the acquisition/maintenance of company vehicles.
•             Establishes and maintains effective relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, police and fire, city officials, and other vendors and authorities to ensure timely and quality delivery of facilities and physical security services and projects.
•             Oversee all components of the facility and physical security to ensure all systems are maintained, tested, and fully operational.  Ensure appearance of facility, property, furniture and fixtures are maintained at a high level.
•             Create procedures and manage programs regarding safety, security and emergency management; develop emergency management and continuity of operations plans and practices for the Company with local, state and federal requirements.  Provide proper training to staff, recommendations to Senior Leadership, and coordination of various teams to ensure a constant state of readiness.
•             Manages expense and capital budgets, reviews budgeted expenditures, and plans and approves asset acquisition/disposition in order to manage the facilities department in a fiscally responsible manner.
•             Develop, implement and maintain a workplace strategy that provides a consistent high quality and safe employee experience and work environment including appropriate amenities and services to attract and retain employees.
•             Comply with all company and Department Policies and Procedures.
•             Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and local requirements, including OSHA and fire/life safety statutes and regulations.
•             Direct the deployment, use, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all physical security systems, including badge, burglar alarm, surveillance, radios, and other related applications and software.
•             Direct safety, security, fire protection, surveillance, investigations and the loss prevention program for the protection of our company's owned and managed assets. 
•             Provide technical and project management services for related (CCTV, locks, access control, fire safety, asset protection) system improvement and upgrade projects.
•             Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or of comparable focus.
•             A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required including experience in facilities management, construction management, maintenance, and building systems management (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety and security).
•             Must be knowledgeable in project management, landscaping, parking management, space planning, furniture layout, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety and physical security.
•             Three to five years direct management experience of Safety and Emergency Management Teams/Programs, Security and Community Systems.

•             Excellent People Management and Project Management skills and experience

•             Strong knowledge of common safety and security systems, concepts, practices, procedures, applications, tools, and peripherals.
•             Able to maneuver in, under, and around buildings, work areas, and stations as needed to inspect and observe operations
