Mobile API Gateway Engineer

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. The role is expected to build/setup and maintain API Gateway service, develop new policies and provide ongoing support to enterprise customers.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
  • Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of API security certification, authentication, authorization, IP security setup and endpoint configuration
  • Supports code deployments and configuration changes to production and non-production systems, following established procedures
  • Designs multiple services based on different standards for REST, web services, data integration techniques, messaging, transformation engines and non-standard services (APIs)
  • Presents architecture and design to necessary stakeholders, as required.
  • Maintains working knowledge of API management platforms and API related activities, such as requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, resource-based API modeling and micro-services architecture
 
 
 
Qualifications
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of technology experience, with a focus on information security technology development, support and administration
  • Proficiency in building infrastructure and setup of CA API & CA MAG gateway appliances
  • Working knowledge of general security concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, and Digital signatures), PKI concepts and TLS
  • Working knowledge of API security standards and implementation (Oauth 2.0, OpenID, JSON, Web Token, JOSE, x509 certificates)
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of technology experience, with a focus on information security technology development, support and administrati
  • Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot J2EE & Spring Framework applications
  • Ability to deploy applications on Tomcat and Websphere
  • Knowledge of Siteminder Single Sign On Infrastructure
  • Hands on experience in configuration, development, maintenance and administrative activity
  • Hands on with multiple Operating systems and basic knowledge of installing the services
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
