HR Training Specialist / Sr. Specialist Employee and Organizational Development

Position Summary
Responsible for managing leadership and professional development and onboarding programs; conducts needs analysis; leads projects, develops training content, and evaluates training.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide program support for BNSF’s annual leadership development program (5200+ served annually), including content development and program implementation and administration.
  • Serve as a program manager for the BNSF new employee onboarding program (200+ employees served per year); includes needs analysis, development, facilitation, administration/logistics, and program evaluation. 
  • Ensure quality delivery for leadership development programs; provide consultation, feedback, and support to the 40+ coach/facilitator team.
  • Partner with the HR matrix team to conduct needs analysis and drive solution-focused intervention activities.
  • Analyze and report on program evaluation results; recommend and implement changes for continuous improvement.   
  • Create and maintain the annual leadership training calendar, including training assignments for coaches and facilitators.  
  • Assist with other learning and development projects/activities as business needs require.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Business or business-related field.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with scheduling and learning management systems.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in  facilitation or training delivery experience in front of large audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional work experience in organizational development, leadership development, talent management, instructional design, or Human Resources
  • Master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business, or related field
  • Vendor management experience.
