The Senior HR Manager drives HR initiatives including; a) acting as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, working with them to develop strategic and tactical HR solutions to people related business challenges, b) creating, implementing and influencing business specific HR initiatives, practices and policies.
In addition to the complex and holistic HR support provided to clients, the Senior HR manager contributes to the global and enterprise wide HR functional agenda through wider BU or HR Regional Team projects and through mentoring other USPF team members.
Major areas of accountability
Act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, working with them to develop strategic HR solutions to people related business challenges.  
  • Through understanding clients’ high-level objectives, makes recommendations and builds a plan to shape the operational HR strategy, for which the HR Regional Team is accountable within core events (e.g. managing highly complex employee relations issues)
  • Synthesizes external, business and HR knowledge to proactively create solutions that drive business and HR strategic initiatives.
  • Brings forward specific observations or trends to the HRBP or business manager that could have an impact on business performance or support organizational effectiveness/efficiency or drive change
  • Works with senior leadership to solve complex problems which may be multidisciplinary or require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, using considerable interpretive thinking and judgment to identify and deliver the best solution for the business and HR
Create and influence TR and HR Regional Team specific projects and initiatives across TR:
  • Manages specific projects with clients in line with overall project plan (e.g. RIF’s, organizational restructures)
  • Communicates difficult and complex concepts effectively by altering communication style to the audience, translating high level strategy to executable pieces. 
  • Seeks opportunities to act as a change champion and influence business stakeholders to embed key change initiatives with clients (e.g. values and behaviors)
  • Communicates the HR model to clients so they are clear on who to go to for what HR support
In addition to providing highly complex HR support to clients, the Senior HR manager contributes to the wider HR functional agenda through:
  • Providing leadership including coaching and mentoring team members

Knowledge and Experience
  • Deep knowledge of a broad range of HR policies, processes and core HR related topics impacting the employee life cycle
  • Understanding of complex HR concepts and theories and experience of application in a number of different contexts and environments
  • Very strong presentation skills, research & analysis and business writing experience 
  • Typically 5+ years of experience, preferably in a large global organization
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred
