Description: The Vice President, Network Support Services reports and is accountable to the Senior Vice President, Network Operations. This role shall demonstrate exceptional ability to direct and manage a diverse range of operational details and complexities with a passion for accuracy and a consistent record of delivering projects on schedule and with a superior quality work product. Typical Duties:
  1. Develops functional and strategic objectives, implements, plans and monitors progress, and revises plans as necessary, relative to areas of responsibility.
  2. Provides the SVP with written, ongoing progress reports for key initiatives.
  3. Directs and supports selection of personnel in assigned area. Conducts ongoing assessments and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development of staff to include a workforce “staffing” plan for the division.
  4. Develops and implements monitoring processes to ensure that each department’s performance is consistent with the organization’s metrics-based management performance system. Ensures that strategies and processes exist to maximize financial resource management, including development and achievement of financial performance objectives. Prepares and monitors annual budget to ensure appropriate performance against objectives.
  5. Participates in learning opportunities and continuing education programs to expand knowledge of professional discipline. Participates in health-related associations to maintain expertise and promote innovation and improvement for assigned areas.
  6. Collaborates with direct reports in the development of department-by-department business plans, tied to the organization’s overall strategy, that include benchmarks for quality new business or service development.
  7. Provides regular meetings and other forms of communication with reporting personnel and other affected staff members to assure awareness of operational and organization-wide issues.
  8. Ensures, through community and professional contacts, that the organization has a positive image and high visibility as a provider of excellent, quality care.
  9. Anticipates opportunities for new programs or services in the organization’s annual strategic review/budget process.
  10. Develops new services or programs for the division; produces superior quality proposals with tested financial objectives. Develops and maintains collegial and effective working relationships with colleagues.
  11. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
