The Business Development Manager manages the marketing, sales, and service development activities in their respective territory to implement Mouser's business development initiatives and accomplish Mouser's growth goals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for driving the business growth by developing and maintaining business relationships and by identifying new ways to grow our business.
Gratifies and astonishes customers with service excellence. Directs service and sales programs to achieve optimum customer account coverage and market penetrations.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks. May be expected to lead and direct the work of others.
Assists VP of Business Development with development and implementation of results-oriented sales strategies as they relate to the Mfr Reps, Suppliers and TTI Branches
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key Manufacturer Reps, Supplier Territory Managers, and TTI branches; must be familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic component distribution.
Plans and analyzes the impact of decisions before execution. Coordinates the specific objectives of the Sales Plan.
Supports and participates in the company's total quality process; Sets and tracks goals
Interacts effectively and professionally with others and able to initiate, establish and maintain highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures. Able to communicate with people at all levels.
Possesses the highest level of ethics and integrity.  Extremely confidential and trustworthy.  Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking ability.  Works with minimum supervision and make independent judgments.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 8-10 years’ experience as a Manufacturer's Representative in the electronics industry and ideally managing the distribution relationships with the firm, or as a Regional Sales Manager in charge of distribution relationships EE or equivalent electronics training would be preferred but not necessary
