Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for an ACCESS Scheduling Supervisor. The scheduling supervisor performs under the general supervision of the Manager of Contracted Services.  The incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of the scheduling department including supervising ACCESS schedulers to ensure the quality of the runs, re-scheduling the subscription trips on templates as needed, and preparing operator sign-ups for regular work assignments, holidays, inclement weather days, and vacation.  Duties also include working with outside centers (i.e. dialysis, adult day care, sheltered workshops) regarding the needs of their clients who ride ACCESS.  The incumbent will work closely with ACCESS supervisors and contractors regarding the provision of ACCESS service.
This position’s responsibilities include:
  • Ensure all schedulers are proficient with the Trapeze scheduling software.
  • Coordinate and monitor work schedules for ACCESS operators.
  • Monitor schedulers’ work hours & approve time in Time Clock Plus and JD Edwards.
  • Act as a liaison between the Access department and the Customer Service Center.
  • Supervise performance of computer assisted scheduling for the next day Access service and maintain various scheduling files.
  • Insures that schedules are productive and that service quality standards and performance indicators are met.
  • Manage the assignment of subscription trips to runs.
  • Assure that labor agreements requirements are met regarding work rotation.
  • Enter and maintain all subscription trips and templates and address changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Enter all new employees into Trapeze including training release date, contact information & status information.
  • Maintain the ACCESS operator seniority roster.
  • Prepare & post and conduct: ACCESS operator sign-up according to the contract requirements, annual vacation sign-up, holiday sign-ups, and inclement weather sign-up.
  • Enter holidays in Trapeze for each sign up.
  • Enter each new sign up in OPS & Trapeze workstations.
  • Shorten or extend each ACCESS operator sign-up as needed in both OPS & Trapeze.
  • Create the new vacation book calendar once vacation sign-up is completed.
  • Maintain the vacation book daily.
At least one year of paratransit scheduling and Trapeze software experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Any combination of experience, training and/or education that provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills can be substituted for the required education.
