Sr. Business Intelligence and Analytics Architect

As a Senior Business Intelligence and Analytics Architect, you will be responsible for making sure that Airport’s strategic goals are optimized through the use of Enterprise Business Intelligence. You will also develop and maintain Business Intelligence applications.
What you will be doing:
  • Creating, maintaining and supporting MicroStrategy Projects, Enterprise Data Warehouses, reports, dashboards, mobile applications, and  ETL routines to support Enterprise Business Intelligence projects.
  • Defining and managing projects, monitoring their progress and reporting their status to management. You will also be allocating staff and resources to those projects, drafting management reports.
  • Assisting in documenting functional requirements for applications, including the budget development, planning, and monitoring processes.
  • Analyzing data in a data warehouse environment including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
  • Translating functional specifications into detailed technical systems designs.
  • Working with System Administrators, Database Administrators, and the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence to test and tune development efforts.
  • Ensuring that current and future systems meet Board standards and are compatible.
What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science or a related field.
  • Three years of experience as a Business Intelligence architect or developer, including data warehouse design and ETL activities, with strong experience in Microstrategy.
  • Experience with RDMS systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
What we desire:
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying query parameters, layout, filters, and analytics for customer business solution;
  • Experience designing data mart solutions including star schema and cube designs.
  • Experience with data loading and the creation of data warehouses and/or data marts.
  • Hands-on ETL development experience; and/or experience reviewing ETL load jobs coded by others for consistency and quality.
  • Visualization experience.
  • Indepth experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Experience ensuring the collected data is within required quality standards.
  • Experience maintaining the quality of the metadata repository.
  • Experience coaching and training customers and peers in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
  • Experience working with mobile Business Intelligence applications.
