Manager, Cargo Program Management

The Program Manager of Project Payload, an end-to-end business process and system tranformation program, will play a critical leadership role on the Strategy & Development team and for the overall Cargo division. This position will be responsible for leading a team of individuals who will support the successful implementation of Cargo’s end-to-end business transformation project over the coming years. Project Payload is made up of several initatives that will ensure Cargo becomes the prefered choice in air cargo. The initial phase of this transformation included mapping out current business processes and automated solutions, identifiying areas for improvement, and intial designing of a roadmap for business transformation. This position will lead the implementation plan and subsequent execution of the transformational roadmap. Projects include efforts to improve the customer experience through redesigning operational workflow and automation to enable yield management tools.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
  • ‚ÄčLead a team of L3/L4 project managers, subject matter experts, and product owners responsible for the management of the large-scale, multi-year, cross-functional End-to-End initiative
  • Partner with leaders and his/her team to identify, prioritize, scope, track, and implement all associated projects on time, within budget, and with measureable positive impact to the organization
  • Create and maintain the most effective overall Payload roadmap
  • Lead overall and day-to-day relationship with all external vendors responsible for technical delivery
  • Lead the program management of all efforts by overseeing the management of a project dashboard, working with IT and Finance on budget planning and prioritization across the portfolio of associated projects, lead all tracking, status updates, and provide visibility on the overall progress and issues for the Payload project to all levels of stakeholders, internal and external
  • Partner with the change management team, Cargo IT, and software providers to ensure successful implementation and effective business transformation
  • Implement project/program/portfolio best practice standards on all associated projects to ensure quality control, scope, budget, and business impact expectations are met
  • Coach all team members and ensure effective PM, implementation, and change management approaches are being applied successfully
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years of experience leading (directly or indirectly) cross-functional teams
  • Project Management certification or related work experience managing large-scale, multi-million dollar projects
  • 5 or more years of Program Management experience, strong communication and strategic planning experience at the team and division level
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office tools - Word, PPT, Project, Excel, etc.
